The Brodnica Lake District is located in the north-eastern part of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The region’s borders are defined by the rivers: Lutryna in the west, Drwęca in the south and east, and Osa and Gać in the north. The name of the Lake District comes from the town of Brodnica, located in the Drwęca valley. The Brodnica Lake District covers the historical region of the Michałowo Land.
